Republic Day 2016
Republic day is celebrated every year on 26 January to
commemorate the date and moment when the constitution of India came into
effect. This day is of utmost significance for all the citizens of
India. About 30 months after attaining independence, India became a sovereign
republican democratic country on January 26, 1950. This 26th of January has become a Red-letter-day in the history of the
nation, and we celebrate it every year with due regard and enthusiasm. Thus,on the
occasion of 66th Republic Day, we the volunteers of IEEE MVSR SB, decided to
visit the Orphanage in Nallakunta and Govt blind school in Malakpet.

The eyes, the
smiles of the children have lingered in us for a long time since. Our group,
including 15 members, arrived at the Orphanage at 10 am on 26/01/2016.We have
conducted a number of events where the children showed great enthusiasm to
participate.
IEEE Student Member team with the Volunteers of “Youth
for Seva” organisation who joined hands to help us in the organising the event.
The girls at the school were happy
to interact with the Student Members.While interacting Student members tried to
motivate and bulid up confidence in them. They appreciated for their
performance in the events and thanked the School management for this
opportunity.
